How to Help

Crowd Sourcing

In our initial phase we would like to invite passionate talented “we” people to join our open discussion in “Imagineering‘ our campus and the educational and vocational opportunities it will present – stepping up where your skills and interests can enable us to complete a comprehensive package for submission to the City of Birmingham for their blessing and support.  Click Here to see the initial presentation to the city planning department introducing our concept – to which they were very supportive and encouraging. A brief video bibliography of inspirational material is attached – demonstrating the areas where we feel our efforts will contribute to a sustainable future as a result of redefining our priorities.

Mission

Our mission is to create a best practices research center addressing housing and food accessibility in urban communities by incorporating tiny homes and sustainable farming techniques. Our vision includes re-invigorating public lands/schools in our urban core by creating pocket neighborhoods of affordable housing – where neighbors know one another and share in community gardening and gather in a common house for socializing and sharing meals.

Getting Involved!

We have an immediate need for volunteers to create a social media presence and begin documenting our efforts to create the campus and the programs we will implement. We will be adopting a shared communications platform and would appreciate input from those currently using various apps (Slack, Windows) to manage team communications.  With these two elements in place our ability to tap into the world of ideas and resources supportive of sustainable enterprises will be greatly enhanced.
